Property's "I Feel Unholy" New Music Video by Me!

I’ve been diggin’ on this band of young local cats called Property for the last year or two, they have a great knack for hooky guitar lines and a really sweet kinda minimal Talking Heads sorta vibe to them. So I was properly jazzed when their front person Sarah Harris contacted me out of the blue to do a music video for them. The song they sent me had a great groove to it and I really connected to the high anxiety of lyrics, I had been storing up a lot of animation ideas and techniques I wanted to try out so I took this as an opportunity to go a bit overboard. I’m using a lot of After Effects puppet character techniques, some primitive rotoscoping, some very primitive 3d effects, some of my own printout rescanning disintegration techniques, some hand drawn elements and some found object collage work. I’m pretty proud of this one, it’s my first time making something that looks a bit like a cartoon. I’d been looking for a way to put more of my illustration work into my video stuff so maybe expect a bit more of this stuff in the future.
