"How Many More Christmases?" New Christmas Music Video!
Well I did it again this year, I took the three days before Tibb’s eve to make a weird Christmas video. Although I’ll admit that I finished song part of it a couple weeks ago (except for a couple bits I recorded yesterday), I filmed all the lip syncing bits in about 45 minutes on the 19th before my mom’s plane arrived and did most of the other video stuff while everyone slept. I’ll be honest and say, I’m not really sure if I nailed the video portion of it this year, but it did give me an opportunity to experiment with a technique I’ve tried a couple times in the past where I take some tripod shots and then build a world around them in photoshop and weave them all together into a large panel to have a virtual camera explore the surface in time with the song, you can see the whole image below. I’m pretty happy with the song although it is a very “extra” type of song. Maybe it might seem odd to write a song about the endings of relationships and things when I just got married a few months ago, but to me that’s kinda the point of a wedding (in a way), it’s about thinking to the future and the inevitable end of things and contemplating how you would like to see it go, making a commitment to the one you’re closest to be there when everything else is over. I don’t know, it’s probably just my contrarian mind doing what it does when it finds itself in a new situation. Anyway, Merry Christmas.
